Alumni of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama are at the heart of the performing arts in London, the UK and on the global stage. Their names are pre-eminent in the worlds of music (including opera, jazz, music therapy, and education and outreach work), drama (stage, screen, TV and radio), and technical theatre.
Some of our alumni are household names, while others regularly win awards and industry recognition for work behind the scenes. You can read biographies of some of our most recognisable alumni here.
We're equally proud of the thousands of other Guildhall graduates, spread across the globe, who also form our alumni community and who are making an impact on society on a daily basis with the craft training and skills they learned here. Read about how we stay in touch with our alumni community, and how Guildhall alumni can get back in contact with us.
The Guildhall Alumni Office aims to establish a mutually beneficial and rewarding relationship between the School and its former students. It promotes networking, social contact, and active involvement in the future development of the Guildhall School.
The Alumni Office offers a range of benefits (free of charge), including regular magazines, programmes of events and information about careers opportunities, such as job vacancies, subsidised courses, competitions and placements.
The School also provides a secure area on this website, the Alumni Common Room, which enables alumni to get in touch with each other, post notices, discuss issues of interest and update their contact details. It also holds the latest news and details of exclusive alumni events and special offers and discounts available to Guildhall alumni.
All graduates, former staff and former students who studied at the School for at least twelve months are considered to be members of the alumni community. All new graduates are automatically registered.
Graduates of the Acting and Technical Theatre Arts programmes who have the right to work in the UK will be granted full membership of British Actors’ Equity, the Actors’ Trade Union on completion of training.
