Robert Wells BA (Hons) MMus


Robert is a composer, workshop leader, electronic musician, producer and teacher. He has led arts projects for many leading ensembles including the English National Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, Brodsky Quartet and London Philharmonic Orchestra. His interest in community work has led to him to create a number of unique, high profile community pieces, including a five year residency at the Royal Festival Hall. 

Robert is widely regarded for his cutting edge approach to music education. He has taught in various contexts ranging from schools to prisons. A book ‘The Creative College’, was written about the work he did with colleagues in Newham East London during the early 2000s. During the same period ‘EQ’, a young person’s creative ensemble he directed became the focus of a European Commission research project exploring youth, education and culture. He is currently involved with a number of international projects, including work with universities in Brazil.
