Laura Roberts studied with Imogen Cooper and with James Gibb at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She took part in masterclasses at the Dartington Summer Music School and Prussia Cove International Musicians’ Seminar, studying with Andras Schiff, Richard Goode, Vlado Perlemuter, Bernard Roberts, Lamar Crowson and Edith Vogel.
Laura Roberts was awarded scholarships by the Myra Hess Trust, the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, the English Speaking Union and the Cripplegate Foundation. At the Guildhall she won the Victor Hoddy Memorial Prize for Mozart and she was a semi-finalist in the Royal Overseas League Piano Competition.
Recent engagements have included solo and chamber recitals at St Johns Smith Square, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Conway Hall in London and at St George's, Brandon Hill in Bristol and a concerto performance with the Kensington Philharmonic. She performs regularly with Eugene Asti in recitals of piano duet repertoire.
Laura Roberts is a professor of piano and keyboard studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
