Offering a wide array of solo, ensemble and accompaniment training the Department is headed by the internationally acclaimed pianist Ronan O'Hora. Visiting artists include Leif Ove Andsnes, Emanuel Ax, Richard Goode, Stephen Kovacevich, Paul Lewis and Murray Perahia.

Although the formal requirements for chamber music are limited to duo performance in Year 2 and the performance of a complete major chamber work in Year 4, students studying keyboard are encouraged to participate in groups as soon as their Principal Study teacher feels it appropriate.
