Student Services provides confidential advice and support to students with disabilities, specific learning disabilities and mental health requirements. If we are aware of your disability, there are many things we can do to assist you. To ensure that your needs are catered for we offer individual consultation with the Disability Co-ordinator, screening for dyslexia at the Dyslexia Institute and a programme of dyslexia tuition within the School. The IT department has provided additional workstations which offer specialist facilities for dyslexic or visually impaired students including large letter keyboards, Inspirations; Read and Write software, Lunar magnification package and Dragon Speech software. We can provide a referral for a needs assessment, liaise with Departmental Tutors where appropriate and help with an application for a Disabled Students' Allowance and other such financial support where required.
