Head of Strings
Grade: G; Salary range £48,030 - £56,430 pa (including inner London weighting, depending on experience)
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama is looking for a Head of Strings commencing September 2010. The successful candidate will assume overall responsibility for the organisation, direction and development of the department in order to educate and inspire students to reach their full potential. They work closely with the Guildhall School's management to ensure the smooth running of the Strings programmes and of the performance and workshop opportunities that grow from them.
They will also undertake some teaching according to own specialism and interest. With substantial experience working in a higher education environment, the successful candidate will have a track record in curriculum development and leading workshops. An ability to inspire, encourage and lead both students and staff is essential.
