Tom Hoffman LLB FCA

Tom Hoffman is a Member of the City of London's Court of Common Council. He is Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (and Chairman of its Finance & Resources Committee, its Nominations Committee, and its Remuneration Committee), a Trustee of the Guildhall School Trust, a Trustee of the Guildhall School Development Fund, a Member of the Board of Directors of the City of London Festival, and a Member of the Board of Directors of Stour Music Festival in Kent. For many years he was also a Member of the Advisory Board of The Sixteen Choir & Orchestra and its Chairman from 2003 until 2006, and a Member of the Board of the London Festival Orchestra and its Chairman from 2001 until 2006.

In addition to this engagement with music, he has been heavily involved with education, particularly in the higher and secondary education sectors. He is a Member of the Board of Governors of Birkbeck, University of London (and a Member of its Finance & General Purposes Committee, Investment Committee, and Nominations Committee), and a Governor of the City of London School for Girls and its Chairman from 2003 until 2006. Between 2001 and 2006 he was a Member of the Council of the University of Exeter (and Chairman of its Audit Committee), and during the period 2006-2010 he has been a Trustee of Christ's Hospital Foundation (and was Chairman of its Finance Committee 2006-2008). He has been engaged with one of London's teaching hospitals since 2002 as a Member of the Board of Governors of King's College Hospital (and a Member of its Nominations Committee), and he is also a Member of the Board of Governors of the Museum of London.
