Alumni Scholarships Appeal

"I am thrilled to have received a full scholarship for my studies and to be able to call myself a Guildhall School graduate. Your fantastic support has given me an excellent start for my career as a professional musician and I shall always be grateful for it."
- Veneta Neynska, Advanced Instrumental Studies, supported by the Guildhall School Trust

Everyone who has been associated with the School or the performing arts realises the immense value of scholarships and awards in making it possible for young artists to pursue their professional training at the very highest standard.

The Scholarships Fund is at the core of our daily life. With almost one third of our students receiving some form of support towards their tuition fees or living costs, the Guildhall School Scholarships Fund really does make a difference and create opportunities for young musicians, actors and theatre technicians.

There is a unique incentive for alumni and ex-staff to make a donation to the Scholarships Fund at the present time. Until July 2011 the Government is running a matched funding scheme that will boost all donations to the Guildhall School by a third: £1 for every £3 we receive. The scheme also matches money reclaimed through Gift Aid, thereby increasing the value of donations even further.

"Your support...has been vital in enabling me to put my all into my studies at Guildhall, free from the worry and strife of financial difficulty and for this I am extremely grateful...[your scholarship] is essentially the reason I have been able to attend the School and this is a gift I am hugely appreciative of."
- Ashley Zhangazha, BA Acting, supported by the Leverhulme Trust

"The scholarship I have received this year means that I have been able to finish my studies in London for my degree...I can only express my heartfelt thanks for your help and support and I hope that future students will benefit from your generosity as much as I have."
- Matthew Kimble, BMus Vocal Studies, supported by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and the Music Students' Hostel Trust
