Leandro Pestana

Leandro Pestana profile image

Leandro Pestana was born and bred in the countryside of Sao Paulo, Piracicaba, Brazil, with mixed roots from Portugal, Spain and Italy. He moved to London in 2012, to learn English, and sparked his past curiosities in the arts. Remaining in London he engaged in the arts, from drama, short films, painting, physical theatre, to live music, and socially engaged arts projects.

At Guildhall School of Music & Drama he founded Suedejazz (a collective of musicians mixing London contemporary jazz with hip-hop artists and soul singers) whilst also producing live events. He joined forces with N'Calma Productions, producing and hosting events around London such as WorldWords Mixing Arts & Cultures.
