Tal Naveh

Tal Naveh profile image

Tal Naveh is a performing artist who specializes in movement and physical theatre. In her work, she explores the connection between movement, sound and words.

"I am looking for different ways of using improvisation techniques to dive deeper into the unknown."

Since graduating from Guildhall, Tal has taken part in many different projects, including:

  • An Erasmus seminar at San Miniato, Italy, designed to develop practical ways to explore entrepreneurial skills in different art schools across Europe.
  • A residency in Warsaw, Poland, where she created a collaborative piece with musicians in a community centre, in response to the neighbourhood needs.
  • A performer and workshop facilitator with Wind-up Penguin Company, in Brazil, a collaboration with NGOs working with children from favela in Rio de Janeiro and North East Brazil. The project involved engaging with poor and deprived communities through music and theatre.

Based on her graduation project, she developed her performance From the Heart of the Sea, which is a devised live performance that explores the concept of land through physical and emotional connection with home. It aims to celebrate our differences through stories, languages and cultures. Tal performed this work at The Vault Festival and Matchstick Pie house.

"At this time where uncertainties and politics are trying to separate us, my work aims to bring us together, creating a new space where touching, laughing and crying is allowed, a moment to look back at where we came from, and where we are now."
