Pamela Lidiard BA(Hons) MA FGS GGSM
Pamela is Deputy Head of Keyboard Studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and her work takes on various forms. As well as teaching and coaching pianists and singers, she also co-ordinates the postgraduate course for accompanists and has chosen and recorded the latest piano syllabus. Most recent projects include organising an innovative performance event that linked vocal repertoire through a dramatised narrative and the recording of the Young Composer series of new wind and brass compositions.
Keen not to become too institutionalised, Pamela has a private teaching practice in South London, performs when she has time to practise and is working towards a Doctorate in Education. She is a regular coach and accompanist at the Britten-Pears School in Aldeburgh and at Margess International in Switzerland and her reviews of books on music and teaching as well as piano and vocal music are often to be found in various specialist magazines.
Pamela has recently become the Editor of Piano Professional, the magazine for members of EPTA UK.
