Bryony Williams
Bryony Williams trained in dance studies with Ernest Berk and The Dance Theatre Commune in the 1970s, including contemporary dance technique, choreography, mime, improvisation and percussion, gaining a Diploma in Dance after completing a three year course in 1978. From 1987-2001 she trained in Seishin Kitaido, Bohjutsu and Bokuto (ki martial arts) and meditation, becoming an Instructor in Seishin Kitaido in 1992. She studied Shiatsu massage with the European School of Shiatsu Therapy and Movement gaining the MRSS in 1992 and MRSS (T) in 1997 becoming a Member of the Register of the Shiatsu Society as a practitioner and teacher.
Bryony has extensive teaching, choreographic, performing and therapeutic experience in England, France, Belgium and Israel spanning 30 years. She is currently teaching on the Music Therapy course and the BMus Singers course here at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, is Vice Principal of the Ealing School of Shiatsu, is Director and founder of the SpiralArts Dance Theatre Company and also works with autistic and physically disabled children.
She has a holistic approach to her work, bringing sensitivity, awareness and creativity through the body.
