Guildhall Studio Orchestra draws upon the legacy of the Lennon and McCartney songbook in this performance which celebrates Guildhall alumnus Sir George Martin’s pivotal role in the creation of these timeless songs, presented by BBC Radio 3's Jumoké Fashola.

This exciting evening of music includes reworkings of hits including In My Life, Come Together and Here Comes the Sun, performed by the Studio Orchestra with outstanding Guildhall jazz vocal soloists. The programme features arrangements by Guildhall’s Head of Jazz Malcolm Edmonstone which were originally commissioned by BBC Radio 2 for Friday Night is Music Night.

To allow for social distancing, the musicians' performances take place simultaneously across three different venues, and are synced using the School's groundbreaking low latency Dante network.

This broadcast is brought to you completely free of charge. Please consider making a gift today and support the artists of tomorrow. Find out more
