About Music Production in Logic Pro

This four-day course will develop your skills in music technology, including composition, sound design and production. You will learn step-by-step how to record, compose and produce your own piece through classes focusing on technical and creative elements of production.

Who is the course for?

Beginners and those who have a basic understanding of music production, who wish to gain the skills to independently write and produce music.

What can I expect?

During the course you will:

  • Learn the ins and outs of Logic Pro including MIDI, synthesis, audio editing, plug-ins and shortcuts
  • Gain creative skills needed to produce a track - including sound design, composition techniques, beat-making, harmony and more
  • Learn about the fundamentals of mixing audio - geared specifically at mixing your own work
  • Participate in group classes and get direct feedback and advice from your tutor
  • Share your ideas and musical interests with other participants

Each day will start with live sessions and exercises that will give you an opportunity to get to know each other. Exercises will be delivered in an easy-to-follow basis and your tutor will be on hand to answer any questions you may have or solve any technical difficulties. Participants will be encouraged to be creative and produce their own tracks on a daily basis, with the aim of having a final 3-min track by the end of the week.

Do I need anything for the course?

A pair of headphones (with a 1/4" jack) (headphones will also be provided but some participants like to bring their own).

"Utterly brilliant [...] the quality & quantity of knowledge I've gained in a week is amazing."
