emma + pj

emma + pj are an international performance duo from San Francisco, California, and Portsmouth, UK. They work at the intersection of the personal and the political, in the fluid space between theatre and live art.

Their creative practise is centred on interdisciplinary exchange and research, colliding disciplines and forms to explore new performance landscapes. At the heart of their work is a desire to create playful spaces charged with compassion, precariousness, and possibility.

Emma Clark and PJ Stanley trained in Advanced Theatre Practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and are Associate Artists at the Portmsouth Guildhall.
