Aimed at beginners and improvers, this exciting course offers an opportunity for participants to develop their skills in composition and music technology. As part of the course, you will be taught by professional musicians step by step how to record, compose and produce your own individual piece on state-of-the-art equipment. By the end of the course, you will be able to showcase your work in a small workshop, as well as take your piece home on a USB.
During the course you will:
- Learn the skills you need to produce; including making beats, creating melodies, designing your own sounds, mixing and much more.
- Receive one-to-one support and tuition
- Have the opportunity to record your sounds in the state-of-the-art studio.
- Learn how to share your work – live and online
- Workshop your piece at the end of the course and take it home on USB
This course is for those who are interested in making their own music in any genre and wish to gain the skills to independently write and produce music.

Daily Schedule: 10am - 5pm
Course fee: £525
Course fee + Bed & Breakfast (18+ only): £855

Accommodation is located in Sundial Court, the School's student halls of residence. Please note that rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Should we not be able to facilitate your booking, you will be notified via email and a full refund will be issued.

- Applicants must have sufficient English language skills to cope with course demands

About the Course Tutor
Ieva Vaiti is a Lithuanian born producer, who is now based in London, UK. She trained as a classical violinist from a young age and around age 16, she became interested in music technology and furthered her career as a producer.
Having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in Electronic Music, she has been involved in many exciting projects as a music artist, including the Curious Festival 2016, Barbican Silent Film Festival 2016, Richmix Takeover Festival 2017, Sound Unbound Festival 2017, Roundhouse CircusFest 2018 and many more. She has performed within the UK and Europe as her pseudonym Piksel and has been a resident artist with Fatima Al Qadiri at Both Sides Now, Manchester.
Ieva is actively involved in education programmes, having taught at Sound and Music, Firetech and NCS. She is currently working at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, as well as writing music within many other creative projects, including for her multimedia collective Project Syntrex, to composition for documentary films and producing for various artists.
