Robert Turrell

Biography

Since early success as a student in the late 1970’s winning all his music college competitions for string and chamber music playing, Robert has worked with more than 30 symphony & chamber orchestras performing all over the world. Robert has given masterclasses throughout Europe, USA, China, Cyprus and Australia and was the Artistic Director (2005-2011) of "Chamber Music in Tuscany", the Centre for chamber music excellence in Italy. As well as teaching at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Junior Department, Robert also teaches viola students from Oxford University and The University of Bath & Bath Spa University. Robert teaches privately violin, viola and chamber music from his studio in Bath. Many of his past students are now working with the world’s top orchestras and musicians. Robert works with many teachers to help them hone their teaching skills.
