Celebrating Celly and Becca as they secure exciting university places!
At Guildhall Young Artists (GYA) Taunton, we're always proud to enjoy the success of our students. We're sorry to see Celly and Becca go – they've been brilliant students and a welcome part of our friendly environment – but we're delighted that they have both secured university places for September.

Celly studied cello with us. She was initially keen to play the harp, but at a local concert with her Grandparents there was a cello player and her Granny said she could really imagine Celly playing the cello, so her passion for the instrument started there. Celly has been playing cello ever since, recently also taking up singing lessons with us. Following her training with GYA, Celly is going on to study Musical Theatre at the University of Chichester.
Everybody at GYA Taunton is very kind and all the teachers really do know what they’re talking about. Give it a go and just be yourself! GYA in three words – fun, educational and inclusive.

We also congratulate Becca who is moving on to a place at Bath Spa University studying for a BA in Drama, where she hopes to explore her love of theatre and plan her next moves in a creative career.
Becca was initially nervous when she joined GYA, but her nerves quickly subsided. Becca has been at GYA for two years taking singing and drama classes. She has performed in our productions, taken part in choir, and developed both her creative skills and confidence.
I had a lot of anxiety when I joined Guildhall Young Artists, but that went away very quickly because not only was everyone very welcoming, but it was also just so relaxed... I love it here and I hope they stay doing this for a very long time.

We wish them both all the best on their university courses and look forward to hearing all about their creative endeavours in the future.
