Five-week trial
All new students will be given a five-week trial period (payable) if they have joined Guildhall Young Artists Taunton in the first five weeks of the term. Please see full terms and conditions on our finance and funding page.

Develop your performing arts skills, meet like-minded people and let your creativity flourish, in this fun five day course for 10 to 18 year olds, packed full of workshops in music, drama, production arts and art & design.
The course will culminate in an exciting performance and exhibition on Friday afternoon, which will be shared with invited family and friends.
When: Monday 17–Thursday 21 August, 9.30am–4pm. Morning drop-off is from 9am–9.30am and afternoon pick-up is from 4pm–4.30pm.
Where: Wellington School, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 8NT.
Fees: £395 per student, due in full before 1 August 2026. Means-tested fee bursaries are available and will enable students to have some or all of their course fees paid.

There are two sessions to choose from, these are split out into two different age groups as follows:
Morning Session 1, 9.30am–12.30pm: for children and young people in Reception up to Year 6 (age 4–11)
Morning Session 2, 11.20am–2.20pm: for children and young people in Years 7–12 (age 11–17)
Both sessions include a guided tour and opportunities to visit different classes and rehearsals. You will also attend a welcome talk and Q&A with the Head of GYA Taunton.
Attendees will be invited to enjoy special vocal and drama performances by current students, as well as chamber music by musicians from Guildhall School.
Open Days are relaxed and informal, and all students are invited to bring a family member or carer with them.
GYA Taunton hosts free workshops and masterclasses from students and alumni from Guildhall School of Music & Drama, as well as professional artists visiting the Southwest.
These take place at Wellington School, South Street, Wellington, Somerset TA21 8NT.
Workshops and masterclasses are open to all GYA Taunton students. We also very much welcome anyone who is not a GYA Taunton member and interested to find out more about our performing arts centre.
GYA Taunton hosts free lunchtime performances by its own students, Guildhall alumni, as well as professional artists visiting the Southwest.
