Graduation 2026

Graduation 2026 is scheduled to take place on Friday 6 November 2026 in The Great Hall at the Guildhall. The ceremony is for graduating students and their families and guests. We will be celebrating the achievements of our graduating students by presenting them with their awards, as well as Honorary Fellowships, Gold Medals and special prizes.

Students expecting to graduate are reminded to ensure that all of their contact information held by the School is up to date and to check their student email accounts regularly, including after their studies have finished, for updates and information regarding the 2026 graduation ceremony. 

Ceremony details

The timings for the Graduation Ceremony on Friday 6 November 2026 are:

Ticket Registration

All students wishing to attend must book. 

Each student is entitled to attend free of charge and will be allocated two guest tickets at a cost of £25 per ticket.

Ticket registration for Graduation 2026 will open on Monday, 10 August 2026, and close on Friday, 30 October 2026. Remaining additional guest tickets will be released on Friday 16 October 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Students unable to attend Graduation Day should email Registry with the address to which their certificate should be sent. They can also email graduationenquiries@gsmd.ac.uk if they wish their name to be read out at the ceremony.

Official photography does not need to be pre-booked and will be available on the day. Please note: queues are likely to happen. It is therefore recommended to plan in advance.

Once you graduate, you will automatically become a member of the Guildhall alumni family. You are joining a global community that includes thousands of members spread across the globe, who continue to make an impact on society with the craft training and skills they learned at the School. 

As a Guildhall graduate, you will receive a range of benefits, including regular e-newsletters, PLAY magazine, programmes of events and information about career opportunities.
