Wellbeing and Support

Guildhall Young Artists has many years’ experience of working with children and young people from all backgrounds. It is our priority to create an inclusive, safe and happy environment for every child or young person that spends time with us.

We understand that there may be times when showing up for a class might not always feel easy. For these days, when turning up to the centre may feel like a difficult thing to do, we encourage you to let us know so our team can look at ways to support you. Our team will provide a safe and confidential space in order for you to do this.

At Guildhall Young Artists we believe that the arts has the ability to positively impact on mental health and mindset so we would always encourage you to come in, even when it may feel difficult to do so.

Safeguarding

All Guildhall Young Artists staff are subject to safe recruitment processes which include Enhanced DBS checks. Staff are required to undertake regular safeguarding training which is part of our safeguarding culture at Guildhall Young Artists. We have a dedicated Safeguarding Team and you can contact our Head of Safeguarding, Hetsie van Rooyen if you would like any information on pastoral or safeguarding support.
Please note that the School does not provide supervision of children when they are not attending a timetabled activity. However, parents are welcome on the premises on Saturdays.

Further details can be found in our Safeguarding Policy, which you can access here or download below.
