Guildhall Young Artists King's Cross Courses

Courses run for 10 Saturdays each term at our centre in King's Cross, and are led by expert tutors from the industry, including staff from Guildhall School of Music & Drama. 

You will be offered a timetable of ensemble classes based on your interests and experience. 

Ensemble classes are delivered in age appropriate groups and you also have the opportunity to enrol for 1-2-1 tuition, or transfer to different ensembles during your studies (age restrictions apply).

Creativity Starts Here

Our music and drama beginners course for ages 5-7, will introduce children to the joy of music making and the arts through weekly classes consisting of games, exercises, and plenty of creativity.

Discovery Music Course (Grade 1+)

Our beginners Music Course for ages 7-11, offers young musicians an inspiring introduction to a wide variety of music styles and genres. The course provides an engaging and supportive environment where creativity and collaboration are at the heart of every session.

Discovery Drama Course

Our beginners drama course for ages 7-11, will introduce children to the foundations of acting, through weekly classes that will build confidence and social skills, support self-expression and unleash creativity.

Discovery Vocals & Drama Course

Our beginners vocals and drama course for ages 7–11 will introduce children to the foundations of acting and singing, through weekly classes that will build confidence, social skills, musicianship and performance skills.

Our vibrant beginners Music & Drama Course for ages 7–11 will build musical proficiency, instil a love of music, and unleash creative identity and performance skills.

Music Course (Grade 3+)

Our hands-on music course for ages 11-18, will offer a full programme of music making and creativity. Designed for students playing at Grade 3 and above, students will play in three ensembles, covering multiple genres and styles at an appropriate level.

Drama Course

Our practical Drama Course for ages 11–18 will nurture creativity, develop identity and build technical acting skills. All students will take part in at least three separate sessions and will explore vocal and physical approaches to storytelling, text and improvisation work.

Our dynamic Vocals & Drama Course for young performers aged 11–18 will nurture creativity and develop identity and authentic vocal expression. Working across three sessions students will develop core musicianship, technical and performance skills.
