Guildhall School singers and electronic musicians present new works composed for this concert, led by Seth Scott-Deuchar.
Where the <body> Begins, a dissection of voice and physicality through the framework of cyborgism, the intersection of organisms and technology. Students from the Electronic and Produced Music and Vocal Studies Departments at the Guildhall School come together for the annual collaborative Electronic Voiceworks project. Performers will present a range of live and recorded pieces using motion capture technology to manipulate vocal performance, as well as an ensemble piece drawing influence from industrial minimalist compositional techniques.
Venue information
Silk Street Theatre, Music Hall and Lecture Recital Room are located in the main Guildhall School building on Silk Street and for Barbican produced events the venue can also be accessed from the Barbican if you exit via the doors next to Barbican Kitchen on Level G.
