Introducing the Nicky Spence Scholarship

Guildhall School is proud to launch the Nicky Spence Scholarship, supporting Vocal Studies students from UK state schools who demonstrate exceptional talent – but who may not have the financial means to accept the offer of a place.

Thanks to the generosity of a group of donors – brought together by the passion and leadership of alumnus Nicky Spence OBE FGS—just short of £100,000 has already been raised to fund this life-changing opportunity. Inspired by his own journey, Nicky spearheaded this campaign with warmth, drive and vision, following his appointment as a Fellow of the School in 2024.

The first Nicky Spence Scholar began their studies in September 2025.

With your support, we can reach the £100,000 goal, complete the scholarship, and open doors for more talented young singers who secure the offer of a place at Guildhall but need financial support to get here.
