What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

The highlight for me during my time at Guildhall is being the Production Electrician for Opera Makers 2026. In this role I was tasked in; creating set practicals, distributing a plug up and network schematic and leading the lighting team during the production process.

What's been your highlight in the industry?

My biggest highlight in the industry was having the privilege in attending the Showlight Conference in 2025 in Dijon, France. I was working on a show in the West End and I was invited to attend by Christie Lites through Showlight’s “emerging professional scheme”. Whilst in attendance, we were given as mentor through the scheme and, throughout the week, I was mentored by the company CAST, which supplies items such as Blacktrax and the creators of WYSIWYG. This was a great experience to network and learn from industry professionals.

What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?

Guildhall has really helped me grow my communication and leadership skills. Coming to university, I wanted to be a lighting designer. Through learning about the key skills in each department, I have gained an interest in other areas which I was not exposed to in my previous studies.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I have come to the realisation that I have a big itch for production and technical management. Outside of Guildhall, I work/have worked in various immersive and site-specific performance. So, once I graduate, I am hoping to further my career in technical and production management within theatre and live events but more specifically in the immersive and site-specific world.
