Lola Ringer (Theatre Technology)

What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

Working as Lighting Programmer on Lucy Bradley, Opera Makers. It was a role I'd had little experience with, but it was such a great show to work on and to challenge myself with. I also very much enjoyed working within the film and TV aspect on the four short films by Helen Iley, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. I got to see what it was like to be a gaffer and a camera operator, and it opened my eyes to the possibility of working in film.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I'm very interested in going into cruise work and the West End. But I want to give being in the film industry a try, too. Within theatre, I'm interested in exploring more work as a lighting programmer and some work as a lighting designer. In film, I hope to be a camera operator and work toward becoming a director of photography.
