Guildhall Jazz Festival x EFG London Jazz Festival: The Hornsmen of the Apocalypse Big Band

Guildhall Jazz Festival x EFG London Jazz Festival: The Hornsmen of the Apocalypse Big Band

Have you ever listened to a metal album and thought: "what would this sound like with, say, five hundred brass instruments...?"

Or have you ever listened to a big band and thought: "what would happen if you added a blast beat on top of that...?"

The Hornsmen of the Apocalypse are here to answer those questions! With genre-bending compositions by Angus Grierson that fuse big band with modern metal, this band is on the cutting edge of large ensemble music.

Featuring many alumni of the School's Jazz department, this concert promises soaring melodies, crushing riffs, blazing solos and everything in between!

Part of the School’s annual Jazz Festival, presented in partnership with EFG London Jazz Festival, celebrating the creativity and originality of the Guildhall Jazz community.

Event ends approx. 10pm

Free, no tickets required
