Event information
The Guildhall Saxophone Ensemble is joined by internationally acclaimed saxophonist Jess Gillam MBE for a special performance at Milton Court Concert Hall.
The programme includes two works featuring Jess Gillam as soloist, showcasing the versatility and expressive range of the saxophone, alongside Barbican Snapshots.
Directed by John Harle, Barbican Snapshots celebrates the Barbican’s bold, utopian design through an immersive programme of music and video created for saxophonists, composers, electronic musicians and videographers.
A collaboration between the Wind, Brass & Percussion and Electronic & Produced Music departments, the concert features ten new Barbican-inspired works alongside music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Graham Fitkin and Nouthong Phimivilayphone, performed by the Guildhall Saxophone Ensemble.
