Event information

Experience the next generation of orchestral talent in this concert conducted by Julian Clayton.

The Guildhall Junior Symphony Orchestra presents a vivid programme spanning folk-inspired rhythm, expressionist intensity and symphonic sweep.

Bartók's Dance Suite draws on Hungarian and Eastern European folk melodies to dazzling effect, while Berg's Altenberg Lieder, featuring soloist Hayley Meth, brings a luminous intensity to the stage. The evening builds to Dvořák's Symphony No 8, a work of soaring melody and joyous energy. An exhilarating evening that showcases the full range of Junior Guildhall's young musicians.
