Event information

Emily Dickinson & Eduard Mörike: Two giants of 19th-century poetry, united by faith, affection for the natural world and steadfast commitment to the deep meaning of small details.

Led by Dr Bretton Brown and Pamela Lidiard, this double concert centres on a pair of essential works from the song repertoire: Copland's Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson and Wolf's Mörike-Lieder.

The evening's performances also include Emily Dickinson settings by Guildhall School Head of Composition, Julian Philips, and celebrates the music of 20th and 21st-century composers including Raymond Yiu, Lori Laitman, and Juliana Hall.

Approximately two hours in duration with one brief interval.
