The Green Level High School Chorus, from Cary, North Carolina, USA was founded in 2019. The choral programme is a community of student musicians who strive to blend skill and artistry in their singing and envisions a future where excellence in singing is valued, supported and accessible by all people within the community bridging cultures, ethnicities and economic backgrounds through music. Since its foundation in 2019, the chorus has represented itself well in competitions and performances. Every choir in the programme has consistently earned superior ratings on stage and in sight reading. In addition, its members also regularly earn places in the North Carolina Music Educators Association Honors Chorus, the All-Carolina Select Choir and North Carolina Governor’s School. The GLHS Chorus was invited to make its Carnegie Hall debut in November 2023 to premiere a brand new work with world renowned composer, Ola Gjeilo. The GLHS Chorus have also won multiple competitions and are looking forward to their first international performance at Milton Court this Spring.
The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (YMSO) is distinctive in being the only full-size symphony orchestra based in London which provides orchestral training, performance experience and professional development opportunities to outstanding young classical musicians from across the UK, between the ages of 18-25. For over 50 years YMSO has successfully bridged the gap between college life and the orchestral profession. Today’s musicians must be versatile and able to reach public performance standard after minimal rehearsal, in a wide range of venues, sometimes at a moment’s notice. The YMSO gives students and graduates the advantage of experiencing major classical repertoire, realistic rehearsal schedules and public performances setting them up for a life in the competitive world of classical music. The young people of the YMSO are passionate about their music and have dedicated much of their lives to reaching the very highest professional standards.
