Event information

Our boundary‑pushing Ubu Ensemble returns with The Rattle Bag, a vivid programme of 20th‑ and 21st‑century music exploring colour, texture and adventurous ensemble writing.

The concert features Tristan Murail’s The Bronze Age; Pascal Dusapin’s Cascando, written for eight winds and double bass; and Jonathan Harvey’s Jubilus.

Also included are Donnacha Dennehy’s As an Nos, weaving flute, clarinet, guitar, percussion, piano and strings into a driving contemporary soundscape, and Bastien David’s Vendre le Ciel aux Ténèbres, adding further intensity and rhythmic invention to the programme.

Free, no tickets required.
