What's been your highlight in the industry?

My experience as an ASM at Longborough Opera Festival was incredibly rewarding, and I particularly enjoyed the challenge and fast-paced nature of working within a festival setting. I loved the opportunity to prop an opera and play a hands-on role in helping bring Hansel and Gretel to life on stage. Throughout the journey, I developed strong and lasting relationships with performers, crew and creatives, learning from each of them and working collaboratively towards a shared vision. It was a fantastic experience that strengthened my confidence, adaptability and passion for the process of making opera.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

After university, I hope to pursue a career as a ASM and a Stage Manager, gaining experience across a variety of theatrical environments and continuing to develop my skills. I am particularly interested in exploring opera festivals, community projects and working with smaller, emerging companies. I would love the opportunity to support these companies in producing new work, helping to develop projects from their early stages through to performance. Ultimately, I hope to build lasting relationships with companies and become part of their journey, contributing to the development of work that can grow and become part of their story.
