What's been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

My Guildhall highlight has been getting to work with so many amazing industry professionals on a wide variety of shows. I've been lucky enough to make connections with some amazing designers and see how they work when on a show- some methods I have taken on in my own practice. A general highlight for me is being given the chance to expand my skills in making costumes, breaking them down and gain experience in running wardrobe.

What's been your highlight in the industry?

My industry highlight has definitely been my work experience at Angels Costume Hire House. I was able to gain experience in costume care and gain some important connections if any hiring is required during a future Guildhall show or when I'm in the industry.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during your time at Guildhall? 

I have been lucky enough to expand my passion for fibre arts through Craft Club. From being a member of this club to co-running it, I've found it has been such a great way to connect with people from different pathways and have something to look forward to every few weeks.

What's something you've learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?

Throughout my time at Guildhall I have learnt to be a lot more patient with myself. I know that skills take time to master- being patient with myself in a new job role gives me the space to learn from others and further advance my craft.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

My main interest is in costume making and venturing into couture bridal work. I feel happiest when I am creating something and really love seeing how intricate shapes come together as one cohesive garment.
