Event information
For the finale of Guildhall School’s 2026 Chamber Music Festival, Guildhall School performers and professors present a rich programme of music by Shostakovich, Roussel, Svendsen and Beach.
This evening of exquisite chamber music blends passion, elegance and drama. Experience the romantic spirit of Shostakovich's early Piano Trio No. 1, the rhythmic vitality of Roussel's Trio for flute, viola and cello, and the lyrical and bold harmonies of Svendsen's 'Andante from String Octet. The rich textures and dramatic sweep of Beach's Piano Quintet will bring the 2026 Chamber Music Festival to a thrilling close.
Guildhall professors Chris Murray (cello), Philippa Davies (flute), Oscar Perks (violin), Sarah-Jane Bradley (viola), Carole Presland (piano) and Gary Pomeroy (viola) perform in collaboration with Guildhall instrumentalists.
Online booking for this event opens at 10am on Tuesday 10 February 2026.
