Guildhall School Double Reed Days

Our vibrant celebration of all things oboe and bassoon returns on Sunday 2 November, bringing together double reed players from across the UK for a day of musical exploration, inspiration and connection.

This year there's an additional 'Little' BIG Double Reed Day on Sunday 12 October for younger participants.

A vibrant, full-day celebration of all things oboe and bassoon, this event brings together double reed players from across the UK for a day of performing and learning - musical exploration, inspiration and connection. 
 

'Little' BIG Double Reed Days

For oboists and bassoonists aged 7 to 14 
Booking closes on Tuesday 23 September

Sunday 12 October

This 'Little' Day on 12 October is focused on ensemble playing, with preparation for a concert on Sunday 2 November at the BIG Double Reed Day. We welcome players of all abilities, whether you are very experienced and advanced, or have just started playing.

Sunday 2 November

This 'Little' Day runs alongside the BIG Double Reed Day (which is for ages 15+) taking place on the same day. After the 'Little' events finish at 2pm you are welcome to stay on in the afternoon for masterclasses, reed-making classes, and the trade stands in Silk Street.
