Biography & Pure profile

Jasperi is an artist interested in the potentials of transmedia storytelling and exploration. She came to Guildhall with a strong skill set in film to develop a multi-disciplinary approach to art, exploring narrative and concepts through multiple creative lenses and mediums. Much of her work depends on collaborative translation of ideas between mediums, looking at a subject matter from synthesis of film, music, poetry, and performance art with the goal of achieving a more holistic perspective.

In her studies, Jasperi explored music production, emerging artificial intelligence technology, conceptual art, and interactive sound and light installation. Within her art, she is often drawn to work which she feels can make a meaningful impact, either through a socially engaged practice or productively exploring a subject she feels passionate about. She's drawn to anything that can get the public to imagine a better future for themselves and the world, or reinterpret the world as it stands.

The artistic diversity of her cohort and PACE’s roots in public art has prepared her for working in most collaborative situations for personal, commissioned, or educational purposes. In her second year, Jasperi led a theatre workshop, teaching storytelling through mythological archetypes for year fives at Greenleaf Primary School. Following this, she directed Real Fake Birds, an experimental film exploring A.I. as a live collaborator and how it relates to identity.

R.F.B. premiered on SUB TEI Berlin gallery’s Facebook page.
