We’re delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed cellist Ralph Kirshbaum to work with outstanding Guildhall string students in this free, public morning masterclass.
Texas‑born cellist Ralph Kirshbaum is one of today’s most distinguished performers, celebrated for his rich tone, technical mastery and deeply intuitive musicianship. He has appeared with many of the world’s leading orchestras and collaborated with eminent conductors and chamber partners including Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, BBC, and London Symphonies. A major figure in the cello world, he founded internationally recognised festivals RNCM Manchester International Cello Festival, and inaugurated the highly successful Piatigorsky International Cello Festival in Los Angeles. He holds several honorary artistic roles and is celebrated for his influential contributions to the instrument’s repertoire and legacy.
The session will last for 3 hours, but audience members are welcome to drop in at any time and they will be admitted at an appropriate moment.
