One of the finest oboists of his generation, Philippe Tondre will work with Guildhall woodwind players in this free, open masterclass.

Philippe has served as Principal Oboist of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe since 2019, the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2020, and is a professor of Oboe at the Curtis Institute of Music since 2022.  

The session will last for 3 hours, but audience members are welcome to drop in at any time and they will be admitted at an appropriate moment.

Silk Street Theatre, Music Hall and Lecture Recital Room are located in the main Guildhall School building on Silk Street and for Barbican produced events the venue can also be accessed from the Barbican if you exit via the doors next to Barbican Kitchen on Level G.
