About the Production Arts Course

Our production arts course for ages 14–18, is perfect for those who have an interest in the design and production side of theatre, film and TV or live events.

Skills required for a career in production arts include heaps of creativity, good organisation and communication skills, time management and enjoyment of working with others.

There are many different roles within production arts. From set, costume, sound, lighting, video designers and technicians, through to set builders, prop makers and stage and production managers.

Whether you simply want to spend a couple of hours getting hands-on and learning exciting new skills each Saturday or are considering a backstage career in the creative industries, you can be sure to ignite your creativity and have lots of fun, whilst learning from top practitioners and industry professionals.

Production arts students will come together with drama and music students to create innovative performances. These will be staged at the centre and other arts venues. Visits from Guildhall School production arts students and tutors will give students the opportunity to further develop their skills and ask any questions they might have.

Please note, the production arts course will start later on in the year. If you are interested in the production arts course, please let us know via the application form. We will get in touch with you as soon as this is available to book. For those that sign up before the 12 September, the 20% discount will be applied.
