Event information

We’re delighted to welcome leading flautist Adam Walker for a free, open masterclass working with Guildhall flute students.

At the forefront of a new generation of wind soloists, Adam Walker was appointed Principal Flute of the London Symphony Orchestra at the age of 21. He is internationally recognised for the breadth of his repertoire, from Baroque music to major contemporary commissions, and has given world premieres of works by composers including Brett Dean, Kevin Puts and Huw Watkins. As a soloist and chamber musician, he performs regularly with major orchestras and at leading concert halls and festivals worldwide, and is widely admired for his curiosity, creativity and commitment to musical excellence. Alongside his performing career, Adam is a passionate teacher and Professor of Flute at the Royal College of Music, London.

The session will last for 3 hours, but audience members are welcome to drop in at any time and will be admitted at an appropriate moment.
