Event information
The Louis Watt Memorial Solo Competition is an annual event open to students aged 16 or over, who attend the Centre for Young Musicians (CYM) Saturday Centre or who are members of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra and London Youth Wind Band.
After a first round, three finalists are invited to perform a short recital programme in front of a public audience, adjudicated by a visiting artist. A first prize and two equal runner-up prizes are awarded.
This year’s adjudicator is pianist and composer John Lenehan, a CYM and LSSO alumnus.
