Our music and drama beginner’s course for ages 5-7 will introduce children to the joy of music making and the arts through weekly classes consisting of games, exercises, and plenty of creativity.

About Creativity Starts Here
Creativity Starts Here is our beginners music and drama programme for ages 5-7 (School Years 1&2).
Delivered in two half-hour sessions each week (1/2 Music, 1/2 Drama) Creativity Starts Here is designed to nurture students natural creativity, develop communication skills, musicality, increase confidence and introduce ensemble and team work.
Students will work in their school year groups (1 or 2).
Creative Drama
Using a range of exercises, games and creative play, students will develop ensemble skills and team work. Progressing through the programme students will be introduced to storytelling, improvisation, movement and text.
take part in a vocal/choral session exploring their voice and musicality, and a drama/movement session igniting imagination and engaging their bodies.
Creative Music
Taking part in regular vocal/choral work and progressing onto the recorder and tuned percussion, these sessions develop co-ordination skills, melody and rhythm providing the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of music making and playing.

£170 per term (£17 per week) - Creativity Starts Here class
Payment schedule
Course fees are payable on a termly basis. When a student enrols mid-term, any fees will be adjusted to cover the sessions enrolled for. Please see our term dates for information.
Five-Week Trial Period
All new students benefit from a five-week trial period (payable) upon joining. This means you’ll only pay for the initial five weeks instead of committing to a full term, giving you time to decide if GYA King’s Cross is the right fit for you.
After the five week-trial period
- If you decide to continue: The remaining term fees will be invoiced.
- If you choose to withdraw: No further fees will be charged.
The five-week deposit/trail payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. See more information on our finance and funding page.

We aren’t able to give refunds in the event of absence. We would hope that our students are able to attend every session to ensure that they get the most out of their time with us.
After the five-week trial period, students are enrolled on an annual membership basis, committing to the full academic year.
Guildhall Young Artists King's Cross requires half a term's notice in writing to withdraw from studies.
Please note, where the required half-term’s notice has not been given in writing, the relevant half-terms fees will remain payable. This is required to fulfil obligations to the professional tutors, pay for facilities and to encourage you to be fully committed to the courses chosen.
