About the Music Progression Course
Every great musician begins their journey with a solid foundation. Created for young musicians in the early stages of their musical development, the Music Progression Course will build essential technical and musicianship skills. Students will participate in three engaging sessions each week, tailored to their individual musical and age levels.
Technical Skills – Offered in either Strings, Wind, Brass or Guitar, and delivered in small group tutorials (3-to-4 students per group), this bespoke class will allow for individual attention ensuring each student can focus on mastering their instrument with expert guidance.
Musical Awareness – Complementing the Technical Skills, the Musical Awareness class focuses on essential reading and notations skills while exploring form and structure. This foundational knowledge enhances overall musicianship and understanding of music.
Ensemble – In the ensemble sessions, all Music Progression student come together to collaborate and create. This collective experience is the place to put all the skills learnt into practice, exploring a diverse range of genres and material while developing ensemble skills and a deep appreciation for music.
The Music Progression Course welcomes all students who are playing at Grade 1-to-2 level – with no audition required!
