Biography

Charlotte Seale is Professor of Harp at the Guildhall School (Senior and Junior departments), the Royal Academy of Music, the Purcell School, and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. She is founder and director of the internationally-renowned Ibacus Harp Course. Charlotte studied with Tina Bonifacio, then with Mireille Fleur at the Conservatoire de Bruxelles, where she was awarded the Premier Prix with distinction, and finally with Edward Witsenburg in The Hague.

At the age of 23, she became Principal Harpist with the BBC Northern Radio Orchestra, where she stayed for 8 years. She currently freelances in London, playing with all the major London orchestras. She is regularly invited to serve on juries and as an adjudicator and examiner, and has recently been made an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
