Biography

Patricia studied the violin at the Royal College of Music. She then went on to study at London University where she completed a BMus (Hons) with a special interest in Early Music. After one year of teaching music in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with Voluntary Service Overseas, Patricia returned to the UK to take up a professional career of teaching, playing and examining. She worked as a specialist string examiner with the Guildhall Examination Service. As well as teaching at Guildhall and privately, Patricia also enjoys performing as a freelance viola player. Patricia has worked on many courses with the National Children’s Orchestra, coaching string players both in orchestral and chamber music. She is also a qualified yoga teacher and has a special interest in teaching yoga to musicians. She teaches privately and at the Royal Academy of Music and is a member of BAPAM.
