Students can access a valuable range of services to support all aspects of your health and wellbeing to enable you to flourish, both personally and professionally.
Student Support
In order to thrive on your chosen course of study and fulfil your creative potential, you will need the knowledge and resources to look after your health and wellbeing.
Student Services is proud to be able to offer a wide range of preventative and support services to empower students to develop healthy routines and practices and, where required, easily access early interventions.
Students can also access ongoing support for more long-term or complex support needs, including free and confidential assessments, advice and referrals regarding mental, emotional and physical health.
The Counselling service is a free and confidential service available to all students at the School. It is staffed by experienced and qualified counsellors and abides by the British Association for Counselling Code of Ethics.
Student Services provides confidential advice and support to students with disabilities, specific learning difficulties or any additional learning support need. The team is committed to a policy of equal opportunities for students. To ensure that all needs are catered for, individual consultation with Student Services is available and this is open to new students before they arrive at the School, as well as at any time during their training.
This support may include:
- assessment of learning preferences and support needs
- sign-posting to learning resources and assistive technology

Student Learning
The Student Learning service, part of Student Services, is here to help you build confidence, find study strategies that work, and develop independent learning skills. Whether through one-to-one guidance, workshops, group sessions, or useful resources, support is tailored to meet both individual needs and broader learning goals. The service strives to work closely with different departments, sharing specialist knowledge to create inclusive and accessible learning environments so everyone can do their best. This includes supporting teachers and staff with training and resources to help make courses and teaching more accessible and welcoming for all students.
The focus is on helping everyone succeed, especially those who are neurodivergent or have disabilities. By supporting teachers and staff with specialist resources and training, the service helps create a welcoming and accessible environment where everyone can do their best.
You can get involved with Student Learning through study skills sessions built into courses, personalised 1-2-1s with a learning specialist, or through the Learning Skills Hub, which offers extra help for all students, including those with neurodivergent profiles, disabilities, or mental health needs.
- Developing your study skills and learning strategies to enhance academic performance and promote ongoing growth.
- Learning how to think about your own learning, reflecting and fostering greater independence.
- Specialist coaching for neurodiversity, writing bootcamps, and body doubling sessions to support focus and productivity.
- Tips for managing your time, staying focused, and developing good study habits.

Student Life
Student Services has a range of resources to help students who are looking for external accommodation. These include an Accommodation Guide, and an Accommodation Facebook group in which students can connect with potential flatmates and view adverts from private landlords.
Students can also access advice and support regarding any problems in external accommodation. Find out more about the School’s Halls of Residence.
Student Services offers a range of resources and interventions to support international students in the transition to life at the School and in the UK. These include an International Student Buddy Scheme, and an International Students’ Orientation event at the start of each academic year, to welcome new students and foster a sense of belonging.
Student Services offers financial wellbeing guidance, including advice regarding money management, and working during your studies.
We also offer limited financial assistance to those students facing unexpected financial hardship. Regulated funds, such as the Emergency Support Fund and the Emergency Loan Facility, are available. Applications to the funds must be supported by evidence of circumstances. Information regarding student eligibility and application process can be found on the School's Policy page.
Report + Support
Report + Support is the School’s online platform for sharing concerns about harassment, sexual misconduct, bullying, and other inappropriate and harmful behaviour, whether experienced or witnessed, either with contact details or by disclosing anonymously. This service can be accessed by the whole School community, including students and staff.
Students can also access information about available support, explore options for taking things forward including informal or formal processes, receive support when going through formal processes, and connect with specialist support such as a Sexual Violence Liaison Officer (SVLO).
The School’s Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Liaison Service offers confidential practical and emotional support for students affected by harassment and sexual misconduct.
The service is delivered by trained Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs), who provide a safe, non-judgemental space to talk, support students to understand reporting options, assist with access to internal and external services, and offer ongoing point of contact.
Support is available regardless of when or where an incident occurred, whether recent or in the past, and whether it took place within or outside of the School.
The service is trauma-informed and student-led, with individuals supported to make informed choices about their options and next steps.
Further information is available in the School’s comprehensive single source of information on harassment and sexual misconduct, which brings together support services, reporting options, policies, procedures, and preventative work in one place.
This resource has been developed in line with the Office for Students’ Condition E6: Harassment and Sexual Misconduct which came into force from 1 August 2025.
