Sam Malone

Biography

Sam has been mentored by Canadian voice coaches: David Smukler, Dawn Marie McCaugherty, Brad Gibson, Gerry Trentham, and Gail Murphy. He has spent time honing his craft at the Canadian National Voice Intensive and has also studied Opera and Musical Theatre.

Sam is also a qualified educator, holding a master’s in education with a specialism in Adult Learning. He has particular expertise in the influence of shame and vulnerability on the learning process. Sam integrates this extensive experience into his practice and works to instil in students as sense of worthiness and purpose in any form of vocal expression. This has led Sam to have a major interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community, working with Gendered intelligence to help trans and nonbinary people discover their own unique path towards full and fulfilling vocal expression.
