What has been your highlight during your time at Guildhall?

A highlight that I've had at guildhall was in the second year of my course, where I had spent a gruelling few weeks struggling to create what became a beautiful leather ottoman. The culmination of this work and seeing it finished in the environment it was designed to be in, really made me appreciate the skills I had learned.

What’s been your highlight in the industry?

I was working in a workshop building TV flats, for a show that was being filmed.  I was able to churn out about 20 odd 4ft by 8ft flats, with the help of another carpenter, and it was the first time I had seen myself become capable of working so quickly to a high standard.

What other passions and projects have you enjoyed exploring during Guildhall?

I have found myself falling in love with the process of welding as I've been at Guildhall, and its something I hope I can take with me in my career.

What’s something you’ve learned that you feel will help you when you graduate?

I have learned how to deal with different kinds of people, and how to regulate myself better in ways I had previously struggled to while I've been at Guildhall, thanks to lecturers and colleagues support.

What are you most interested in working in after you graduate?

I'm probably most interested working as a Larger scale prop maker, or smaller scale Scenic Carpenter. That middle ground is where I think I shine the best. That and hopefully developing my welding and metal fabrication further.
