Debra Tidd is Head of Stage Management at Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Debra has enjoyed a career spanning more than 30 years in theatre and live events, working as a Stage Manager and Company Manager across the West End, throughout the UK and on international tours. She has worked with organisations including the Donmar Warehouse, the Old Vic, National Theatre Productions and the Young Vic. Her production credits include Billy Elliot, Les Misérables, We Will Rock You, The Prince of Egypt, & Juliet, The Crucible and Shucked.

Alongside her production work, Debra has developed a strong reputation for leadership, collaboration and supporting artists and creative teams. She also served on Equity’s Independent Commission for Race Equality, helping to shape recommendations for greater equality and inclusion across the entertainment industry.

At Guildhall, Debra is passionate about preparing the next generation of stage managers for careers across theatre and the wider creative industries, combining current industry practice with collaborative, inclusive and student-centred learning.
